Why we built Parity

We did not discover a shortage of talent. We discovered where skilled time was disappearing.

Across consultancy after consultancy we kept seeing the same pattern: signed-off requirements sitting still while one person rebuilt them, by hand, into a backlog.

The pattern

We kept seeing the same delivery pattern.

On the project01

Requirements were agreed. The project team was ready. But delivery still waited while a Business Analyst manually translated the document into Epics, User Stories and Acceptance Criteria.

On the analyst02

The work was important, but the first-draft process was repetitive, cognitively demanding and dependent on one person’s availability.

On the business03

The delay looked small on one project.

Across multiple projects, it became an operating constraint.

01

The delay did not stop with the Business Analyst.

When the backlog was not ready, refinement moved. Developers waited or switched context. QA lacked testable criteria. Delivery Managers chased updates. Sprint preparation became compressed.

Operations saw stretched teams and assumed the answer was another hire.

We saw a handover that had never been redesigned.

02

Parity was built to remove the blank page, not the analyst.

Business Analysts still own the context, the stakeholder decisions and the quality of the backlog.

Parity gives them a structured first draft from the approved requirements, directly inside Jira or Azure DevOps.

The analyst reviews it. The team refines it. Delivery moves sooner.

03

The outcome is bigger than faster story writing.

The real opportunity is to recover skilled delivery time and redirect it into analysis, stakeholder outcomes, project support and additional capacity.

That is why Parity is positioned as delivery-acceleration software, not simply an AI user-story generator.

What we hold to

Three principles behind the product.

The analyst stays in control

Every draft is reviewed by a human before it reaches a sprint. Judgement is never automated away.

Change one handover, not the process

Discovery, refinement and delivery governance stay exactly as your teams run them today.

Capacity before headcount

Recover the skilled time you already pay for before solving growth with another hire.

Where we landed

Skilled people should spend their time making better delivery decisions — not repeatedly recreating agreed requirements in another format.
